I need help identifying this knife with no maker marks

Post by RetroRescueAZ »

It's a stacked leather with a bakelite pommel.

There are no maker marks anywhere on it.

It looks almost identical to a Marble's knife but the pommel seems to be a different shape.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Good morning and welcome to AAPK. I believe your knife is a Kinsfolks. They etched the name out on the blade and it often wore off. Usually looking with a glass you can see a hint of the marking with the right light reflection.____Dave

DJ is correct, knife was definitely made by Kinfolks. The only resemblance to a Marbles is that it is a fixed blade knife with a leather handle. Usually Kinfolks knives of that era were ricasso stamped but it could have been made on contract for another company and just had that company's name lightly etched on the blade as dj said.

Possibly a Kweske knife. Many of their knives were blade etched, - many ricasso stamped. Saying possibly Kweske because it looks just a little heavier than the Kinfolks knives to me, almost all of their knives bear a strong resemblance to Kinfolks.

Meant to say maybe -- "Weske" - not Kweske, -- brain fog going on.
