Interesting knife, no makers marks on the knife or sheath.
The snap is UNITED CARR, 1940’s style.
Interested to know if others have or have seen similar knives.
Lucite gold-sparkle handle hunting knife
Re: Lucite gold-sparkle handle hunting knife
I can not help with the knife. Many will say that on vintage the sheath may not be the original. Lucite, The material was developed in 1928 in several different laboratories by many chemists, such as William Chalmers, Otto Röhm, and Walter Bauer, and was first brought to market in 1933 by the Rohm and Haas Company under the trademark Plexiglas. Nice knife and hope someone can verify that the handle is correct.

The sheath stitching looks 'home made', not done on an industrial sewing machine.
Could be a full custom knife or a re-handled blade with markings removed or buried in the handle.
I doubt it is a production knife.
Likely you already are thinking along the same line.

The knife construction itself is very good, "full" tang with good handle material coverage, good fit to the guard, etc. Thinking factory-manufactured, not a one-off.
The sheath is machine stitched, with a crossed-box pattern for the keeper strap.
Definitely an interesting knife... which is why I bought it to begin with.
Thanks for the great history on lucite, being an antique-mall rat, I have seen lots of different uses for it. The ladies purse is probably the most well-known, infinite colors and styles.

Looks to me like a "Theater " , soldier made knife from WWII era.
