Case-Winkler Fixed Blade

Post by XX Case XX »

Has anyone seen one of these? Looks well built. Wonder how good it is. I thought Bark River's were expensive...

Shephard Hills has them listed at $300.00 - 320.00 depending on handle. A new version that's on backorder is $395.00
That is going to be a tuff sale when LT Wright's and Bark River's are cheaper.

I'm wondering if Case might be able to give those guys a run for their money with these knew knives. I guess we'll find out.

Daniel Winkler is no Johnny-come-lately to the custom fixed blade field. https://winklerknives.com It seems to me the success of the Case/Tony Bose collaboration for both parties involved has spawned Case to collaborate with others like Daniel Winkler and Southern Grind. As Mike says, time will tell.

 I don't think we're the target market guys. Yeah, out of my price zone too. ::dang::

As I see it Winkler has already received more advertising exposure through their collaboration with Case than they had in their entire existence previously. If it's like their Tony Bose deal Case gets some designs, training, and reputation boost plus an ambassador with some industry cred to represent them and rub elbows with customers and the industry press at events and shows like SHOT and BLADE. And both parties will probably sell some knives, some to customers that otherwise wouldn't have bought from them.

Win-win for both parties, whether you and I buy one or not. ::nod::

I think that Daniel Winkler has been around long enough that he doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. His reputation precedes him. As said before whether there will be a market for this collaboration remains to be seen.JMHO
