What type of knife is this fixed blade Parker

Post by Delmar Morgan »

I bought it at a yard sale it's got Parker Cutlery on one side of the blade then surgical steel made in Japan on the other side. What style is it ? Looks like someone tried to put a edge on it with a sander ::facepalm:: I paid $10.00 for it ::nod:: but what would it be worth ? Going to resell anyway. Sorry if some of pics a blurry the tablet don't take close ups good.

I believe it started out life as a Tanto blade, like gold pan said, but someone has rounded off the original grind. You could have someone regrind it but you will loose some of the blade width and it would have to be done by someone who knows what he's doing so you don't get it over heated and loose the temper. Parker knives are not real collectable but it is probably worth 15 to 20 dollars (jmo). terry ::handshake::
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
