Delayed shipments of traditional materials from overseas (Japan and Thailand, silk ito and ray skin) have forced me to finish with materials on hand in the shop.
Though not entirely traditional in finish, neither is the blade shape historic.
This is my artistic interpretation of a traditional tanto blade.
Reclaimed farm equipment steel hand forged and finished, copper and mild steel fittings, horn, wood, and leather ito finish out the build.
Hope you enjoy.
