Here is a Randall Astro. It was designed with help from Gordon Cooper for the Apollo missions. The same astronaut that started mapping the ship wrecks from orbit. He is the basis for the show Coopers treasure in the Discovery channel.

My KA-BAR and sheath. The tip appears to be broken off, it isn't. The coating came off the tip. I realize that it's not a very summer-like setting, but I use what I have.

Thank you Steve, tongueriver, and jerryd for the gracious comments on the old Case fixed blade. I have very few fixed blade knives and this one is sitting out on my bookshelf Here is a picture of the original sheath. It has a stag head and the words "Cases Sportsman" embossed on it.

Not sure if I have posted this one before but here goes anyway. A Hubertus "knicker"knife that was gifted to me by a co-worker who picked it up on a trip to Germany back in the late 1970's.Great file work on the spine and beautiful crown stag handle.

I just got the new hunting knife from Ontario Knife Company today. Five inch blade, 1095 steel with a sheath. Shaving sharp out of the box. I ordered this in February when they were first announced and got it today.

Went to a local antique shop today while picking up medication at the drug store next door and found two knives that I just had to buy. Unfortunately I didn't have the money for both of them so the shopkeeper (who is a friend and customer)agreed to put one aside until next week.
That one is a huge(10" blade)horn handled bowie by Gutmann Cutlery Co. Italy.
The one I picked up is another huge(10" blade)bowie etched Hoffritz Made in England with a tapered tang and some of the most beautiful stag slabs I've seen in awhile. There are a couple of tiny rust spots on the blade(it looks like it was chrome plated and then the hollow grind put on)that I am slowly cleaning off but otherwise it looks unused. Here are a few pics. Price was good too:$59.36 with tax.
