My next "BIG" project!!!

It's BIG, and I mean real big!!! When it's done it should have stag handle, fancy brass and stainless spacers, tons of filework and a cut down ornamental D-guard.
Trying to make it look like a mid 1840's fancy Sheffield Bowie.....lol...we see what happens...I keep ya all posted!!

Early Sheffield bowies never had filework, that is a relatively new decoration. Didn't have D guards either.

As I mentioned it and showed it in a picture its gonna be a cut down D-guard to mimic eleborate Sheffield guards...about the file work on the guard....there are earlier Bowies from Sheffield with file work on the blade guard!

Old injury...and well deserved too...opening a tuna can with a spoon...lol but my granddaughter helped me out with a unique horn bandage...lol😍

thank you sir...lol...right now super busy to finish some custom leather projects for friends and neighbors!!
After that, I will jump right back on that BIG BLADE!!
