Roland,
The J stands for jack knife- the 72 pattern is normally a lockback single blade.

Thanks Vince. I think a long pen secondary blade makes for a versatile knife. I like it.

I am at the stage of life in which there is not time enough to enjoy even a fraction of the knives i already own. I have to keep reminding myself of this so that i don't send you an offer. That said, the knife is worth what you are asking.
