That's one of the cigar box openers that always seems to sell well and commands more money than I'll pay for an opener/cigar cutter. I quit buying on Ebay so I won't be bidding. Good luck on your sale. ___Dave

I have always been told that it is a box cutter to open up the cigar boxes.

It is. The left side is a cigar cutter and the right side is a box cutter with the nail puller notch. Most cigar cutters also have a small hammer head somewhere to tap the little nail back down after you retrieve a cigar. Some are shaped like little hammers, some like little hatchets, and some are straight handles with the cutter and notch on one end. most have cigar advertising on the side. I have one with pearl sides even. ___Dave

Well I wasn't going to bid. I haven't bid on eBay for several years but I decided to throw a small bid on this cigar cutter because I've always wanted one of this style for my collection. I have several dozen of them, almost all different, but this one style has alluded me until now. I'm surprised it didn't go higher. Dennis, I hope you aren't too disappointed with the sale. ___Dave

Hi Dave, glad you got it and it went to a collector. As for the sale price, well I hope you noticed the $50 handling fee in the fine print. ::woot::
