Re: WESTERN USA BOWIE stamped BOWIE not W49
That's what I deem to be the 3rd Western Bowie and what most other people call the 2nd version.
It was produced from late 1965 or early 1966 to 1967.
Someday I'm gonna get around to taking all the pics I need for W49 identification thread. I have 97% of the text done. Just can't seem to find the time for 60 or 70 pics.
And the sheath is correct for that one - the dangler version did not come out until summer of 1968.

That is a fantastic example Scott. Too bad I'm "in the hole" ATM or I'd be on it like white on rice...

zzy, you could do the W49 thread text and add the pictures a few at a time when you have the time. Even without pictures we would find it most helpful.

OK, I could work with that....
Does anyone know what the picture limit is per post?
Depending on what the limit is would predicate how I would want to split up the document, # of posts wise.

I have not heard of a limit on the number of pictures per post.

Just MY opinion but I prefer the posts that are broken up into specific items/issues. 3-4 knives, and descriptions per post seem to loose "importance" per item.
Two cents...
