For Sale: 2006 Case Mini Copperhead

Post by XX Case XX »

For your consideration is a 2006 Case Mini Copperhead. NIB. No issues. They call these handles "Old Red". Just a bit over 3" Closed. I bought this in 2006 and it was opened for the first time today. The brown wrapping paper was still wound up tight. I don't even remember buying it.

$34 Shipped. Ships to US only and to a verified Pay-Pal address on file. Buyer must be at least 18 years of age and legal for them to buy this knife.

PM if interested. Thanks for looking. ::nod::

That is a cool looking little knife, Mike. Just what is that "old red" handle material? Some sort of synthetic I would guess...is it smooth or a little rough? Can you feel where that checkering is, or does it feel like there is a coating of some sort over it?

Hi Mike:

If you run your finger over it, you can feel the indentations of the square checkers. They are just deep enough that you can feel it. I'm sure they would smooth out over the course of time but for now, yes, you can feel them. I would think this material is some sort of synthetic. That's my guess anyway.

According to Case, any knife with a type of synthetic or composition handle would normally start with a 2,3, or 4. This one starts with a 6 which is generally bone, delrin, or laminated wood. Now I'm wondering what these are made of myself.

I think it is red bone that has been laser'd.
Interesting pattern !

I had one just like it once...it was called "Basketweave" on the box ID label and it was laser-etched bone. Can't remember what year mine was though...2005 I think. Those little mini copperheads make great lightweight EDC knives that fit perfectly in a change pocket.
$34 shipped is a really good deal for this knife.
