F. B. & S. Inlaid Handle Pocket Knife RFI
F. B. & S. Inlaid Handle Pocket Knife RFI
Hello, and thank you for allowing me to join. I picked up this F. B. & S. Solingen pocket knife recently that has an inlaid decoration on both sides - a windmill scene, and a scene with a lady. The workmanship is pretty nice. The other side of the signature on the blade appears to be a caricature of a bearded fellow with a hammer. I have researched everywhere, and can find no comparable. This company seemed to be mainly in the razor business. Any information anyone can provide, would be very much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Hey Cat! to AAPK! I can't tell you anything about your cool little knife but keep checking back to this thread as others will see it and perhaps have some info for you!

I believe it to be and enameled handles not individually inflated pieces by the appearance, could have been a souvenir knife , but just my guess I don’t know for sure.

F.B.&S. “Dwarf” brand, according to Goins’ Encyclopedia. No other information given. I agree, probably a tourist knife commemorating some site in Europe.

Thank you all for the info. Makes sense that it’s a tourist knife.
