I am trying to find out the maker of this knife. I like to think I am pretty good at digging up that kind of information on the world wide interwebs, but I have come up blank on this one.
It's an unusual shape but fairly well made. Varnished hardwood and bone handle scales, damascus or damascus-patterned spear point blade, nice "file work" on back spring and mouche. About 4 3/4" closed.
The tang is stamped " R G France" with what looks like a rose between the two letters.
Any ideas?

Sorry I can't help you.
Cool knife though.
Hopefully someone will come along to assist you.

Re: Help identifying knife
I found the initials RG on a French web site but without the rose. This may or may not be the company. The picture is a gif file so I'm not sure it will post. If not I will post the site name.
