These are Japanese hunting knive. Each is wikedly sharp.

I've never seen any of those before. They look like serious hunting knives for sure. Thanks for sharing them. ::tu::

The guard on the sheath knife looks pinned.

Miller Bros As to age.....I bought them thru AG Russel about 15 years ago as I recall.

Is that good or bad? Is that a strong point or a weakness? I only ask because I wouldn't know the difference.

I don't think it's bad. If done precisely it is a strong fasten. It seems to me guards are usually soldered.
I think it indicates a newer knife, but honestly I don't research these things.
I'm just making an observation.

I did purchase these new and I believe they were probably made in the early 2000s.
