VERY OLD RODGERS, JACK KNIFE

Post by richard »

I HAVE THIS VERY OLD RODGERS JACK KNIFE .alas worst for wear, but its early 1800,s . stamped his majesty GR. GEORGE 111 pre 1820
cow bone hand worn grips . blades very worn. the bail is still attached. but the rings are nearly worn out.
still a solid knife.
i bet this knife could tell a tale.
i am going to keep it as it is.
not even clean or sharpen it.
they dont make them like this any more

Knife is Geprge V or VI, 1910-1952, it is not George III. First of all a George III knife would have hand cut stamps for tang marks and this knife has machine cut stamping. The main glaring tell is the England on the blade,
