Re: VICTORINOX knives 1884- present SWISS ARMY KNIVES
I have 2 knives, they both have Buck on the handle, Wenger on the blade. my best research makes me think they are a Wenger Odyssey. One has a cork screw and one has a Phillips screwdriver. I believe they were manufactured from 1991 to 1998. Would these be considered Swiss Army knives?
Re: VICTORINOX knives 1884- present SWISS ARMY KNIVES
Post pictures of them if you would, with blades open and blades closed. That will really help people to give you more definitive answers.whparham wrote: ↑Fri Mar 18, 2022 12:37 am I have 2 knives, they both have Buck on the handle, Wenger on the blade. my best research makes me think they are a Wenger Odyssey. We might have to do another two year long trade.
Question: Is the Flag on both sides?

Love all the ones with the American flag handles.

The American flag design is printed over blue scales. I've seen photos of a few that have been carried, and of course, the print wears off. Mine is extremely unlikely to see carry for that very reason.

This is Not my knife.
Hi SAK Fans,
I ran across one of these on eBay and just thought I'd show it for posterity reasons. Guess this one is a true "Pen Knife".
It's called Swiss Pen or SwissPen X1 & there is also a Video about them on YouTube.
Link: https://youtu.be/A8SNFO9Qs-8
Here it is, also found a picture of one in red. The one in the Video is black.
Add: It also has a red light that is activated by pressing on the cross emblem for whatever that's good for.

Wow Tom that is quite the contraption! I can't imagine it would be much good for writing more than a quick note, it's gotta be quite top heavy with the blades/scissors on the end like that. I myself struggle to write with top heavy pens. Still a pretty cool novelty piece though for the collector.

Recently, this pocket knife arrived in a group of pocket knives that I bought. However, this particular pocket knife was NOT the objective of my purchase. It is a VICTORINOX, one blade, four tools (scissors, file, pick and tweezers), 2 1/4" closed, one tang stamp, advertising pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "VICTORINOX (over) SWITZERLAND (over) STAINLESS (over) ROSTFREI" It advertises PEPSI and has a 100% complete, intact, PEPSI logo on the handle. It is in EXCELLENT condition. It did not need any cleaning. I took some pictures and here it is.

Recently, this pocket knife arrived in a group of pocket knives that I bought. But, this particular pocket knife was NOT the subject of my purchase. It is a VICTORINOX, one blade, one tool (file), 3" closed, two tang stamps, advertising pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "VICTORINOX (over) SWITZERLAND (over) STAINLESS (over) ROSTFREI" The main blade back tang stamp says "VICTORIA" with the crossbow. It advertises "A. H. I took some pictures and here it is.

Found a cool Victorinox SA yesterday at an antique market. It combines my love of Audio with Knives. They even threw in the sheath for free..

Recently, this pocket knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I purchased. But, this particular pocket knife was NOT the target of my purchase. However, it did turn out to be a keeper. It now becomes my latest example to be posted under this topic or thread and to be added to my general pocket knife collection. It is a VICTORINOX, one blade, four tools (scissors, file, pick and tweezers), 2 1/4" closed (not including the ring or loop), one tang stamp, advertising pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "VICTORINOX (over) SWITZERLAND (over) STAINLESS (over) ROSTFREI" On the handle it says "DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS" and the lettering is 100% complete and intact. Very recently, this pocket knife arrived in a group or lot of pocket knives that I bought. However, this particular pocket knife was NOT the target of my purchase. It will have a place in my foreign born, pocket knife collection. It is a VICTORINOX, one blade, two tools (a file & scissors), 2 1/4" closed (not including the loop or ring), two tang stamps, advertising, pocket knife. The main blade front tang stamp says "VICTORINOX (over) SWITZERLAND (over) STAINLESS (over) ROSTFREI" The main blade back tang stamp says "VICTORIA" with the crossbow. The main handle side says "M - KELLOGG - W" inside a logo type shape. Overall, it is in EXCELLENT condition. It did not require any cleaning. I just wiped it off, took some pictures and here it is.

Re: VICTORINOX knives 1884- present SWISS ARMY KNIVES
I look forward to going back through this thread and checking these all out.
For me, I'll start with this one pic. There are a couple drawers you can't see in the pics, but (except for the Wester & Co displayed) these are all Elsener Swchyz or Victorinox stamped knives (and variations of). The Wester & Co being the origin knife, 1st edition Swiss Soldier knife from 1890 (has to be my fav). The bottom tray is all early soldier issue (1908-1950's), the rest are various hand-picked vintagy victorinox pieces, and some new but cool ones too.
I will have some fun sharing these over time, but here ya go!

I have the one shown above, the 1890 Wester & Co , but I just saw two listings on the bay just now, one in NOT fantastic shape asking $2500, and another in rough shape asking $1900. Gonna keep an eye on those to see if there is any exciting action.
Re: VICTORINOX knives 1884- present SWISS ARMY KNIVES
Most likely it'll be the thumbs-down, especially if they're auctions that have seen bids. Vintage SAKs can bring insane money.SwedgeHead wrote: ↑Mon Mar 13, 2023 10:28 pm Gonna keep an eye on those to see if there is any exciting action.
