There were 37 knife patterns manufactured in the early to mid 1990s that make up the Case Classic line of knives. They are the product of Jim Parker's realization of a dream to replicate classic knives of many years past.
Welcome to AAPK ! Your knife is a RM 1097 made 1920 - 1930 . The value in mint cond. Is approx. $600 , but in the cond. shown , I think that $100 +/- would be reasonable . The used cond. value given is my opinion only and it may be worth more to someone who is not too concerned with the condition . Bob
I agree with Bob on all points. The RM stands for Red Mottled, the handle color. Some call it Christmas Tree. The 1 means it has 1 blade, and 097 is the pattern number, a large leg knife. Case made that pattern way back in the early days as well.
