There is a Case Winchester stag on Collector Knives .net that does not seem right. I do not believe that a Classic was made in stag in regular production. The knife in question has a pattern number of 62091 which makes it a bone handle. I say this and raise the question because I purchased a stag Case Winchester many years ago from Jim Parker that was marked Prototype in black stag. The COA stated that only 5 were made and that particular version was not offered in the Classic line. Also the knife in question may be a Proto but one cannot see the other side of the blade. Also this knife has a hefty price on it that only a Proto would have. Just curious. BTW I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer-no pun intended. Any help?

Re: Case Winchester
This is the only Case Winchester that I know of, I think the knife pick was part of the deal. Antique green bone, maybe there could have been one done in stag with the correct pattern number?
Also, welcome to AAPK!

Re: Case Winchester
The 62091 listed on CK.NET is listed as a, ""Case Classic 1990 Winchester Antique Bone Cigar Whittler"" ---- according to Parkers Pocket Knife Trader Book___ accurate counts, were not available on this pattern, but some Stags were made ????

To my limited knowledge : Yes, there were a very few Case / Winchester knives made in stag, I'm assuming as prototypes but not certain. I know they are rare, very rare. If you ever find one, please post a picture because I've never seen one.
A good source for clarification on this would be the Case Classics Club website.
Hope this helps.

Re: Case Winchester
This is a Proto Classic Winchester that I purchased from Jim Parker many years ago before the Classics really took off. He stated there were only five made in stag. He said that a salesman carried it around to show for about a year. He included a COA with it. He supplied a Rising Sun box as the protos were not boxed.

Re: Case Winchester
That is a sweet knife!
I wonder if mine would be considered light, medium or just green?
