My 091's

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

My 091's

Post by outkast »

I posted some pics of these a few years back. Anyway I'm reposting because I've seen a few post here regarding both 2091 and 3091 patterns. Many questions have been asked: How many were made, is my Proto real, what kind of jigging is this, why are some 091 and others just 91, blade variations, among others and some have been answered and some not. Now I'm no expert but I do own a few nice and rare pieces. My protos were aquired well before the market was flooded with what we see now. Feel free to ask questions and request closer or better pics I'll do what I can. However I'm a knife collector not a photographer. Hope you all enjoy and I will try and post the rest of my classics in the near future.

 Sweet knives outkast ! ! !

I have one of the Case Winchester Classics knives and was wondering the same thing? Wasn't even sure others eere made but you answered that question in a big way. Mine came boxed with paperwork and a Winchester knife pick and is bolster etched 0003 with a long tailed C. A reference book I have pictures it with the pick, says they were made in 1990 to commemorate the 1920s contract Winchester made with Case and gives a collector's value of $150. The box is marked with Jim Parker, Olin Corporation and that ever so popular Blue Grass Cutlery Corp.
