My POS (package of super nice stuff) that arrived today from Mr. Phil. Check out the Case canoe that he threw in (maybe a mistake?). And the nice little zipper case which will be perfect to drag home all my new treasures from the Shenandoah show in April. And a personal note. Nothing stinky here! Well done Philco! :D

Boy was I wrong! Hamiipb aka Nick may be new here but I'm tellin' ya he catches on QUICK ! He pulled out all the stops, even including a very appropriate treasure chest to hold much of the more than generous bounty he shared. Below are some pictures for all to enjoy.
Thank you Nick. Well played, sir. Well played. ::tu::

Whoa, Phil! Be careful where you're swinging that thing! ::rotflol:: ::rotflol::

You know the old saying, one man's trash is another man's treasure. Well, Ken (KLJ77) really sent some that are far from being a POS. I love the pearl Morley (no cracks!), Colonial fob, Camillus TL-29, Robt. Klass horn multiblade that just needs pinned, some awesome pouches and a sheath plus my first Spyderco and an awesome knife display rack. ::ds::

You were too kind!

*Edit- Dwight Divine Ulster Whittler too!

John,

So glad you enjoy your 'new' treasures. I knew you would appreciate them for what they are. It was an honor to send 'everything' your way. ::tu:: ::handshake::

But....did you enjoy the poem I enclosed?

Here is the treasure trove I got from Jerry. Some advertisers, jacks, pens, a Frost jack. Some good stuff too, a Camillus trapper that I will clean up and EDC, a Challenge MOP whittler with a broken pen blade that I will try to replace if I have one, and a REAL NICE Queen City all metal jack. 18 pieces total, what a haul. Thanks Jerry.

Glad you like the items. You can offer the 4 piece chicken dinner at your eatery. The Camillus 1047 with the money covers is the one I showed in the Camillus 72 thread a few weeks ago. Decided to send it on to a new home.

Philip (Treefarmer) did me GOOD! Thirteen pieces total. Philip knows how to 'play the game'. ::tu:: Many knives I'll be putting in my pocket as EDC's, for they have some very knife life left in them. And a VERY nice Buck 539 fillet knife dated 1990...it's like brand new. ::ds:: I'll be using that in the kitchen as a slicer, among other things needing cut up, diced or trimmed. Thank You Philip for a very gracious package. ::handshake::

Contents:
Buck 539 / GNCO Letter opener / 2 Colonial's / a Utica / a very usable Kent / a single blade folder (no markings) / a SUPER FLY (I'll use as a projects knife) / a Kutmaster / a "TRUE" multi-tool, lower right in photo (my wife likes this little user) / another multi-tool / a small pen knife / another small pen knife (Japan) and a lot of use left in it)

An awful lot of these knives don't fit my definition of POS. Some really knice stuff.
And tinroof sent me a knice blend.

Well, Catspa, now you've done it!
This package o' poo arrived today, and it smelled so bad that now my wife is not talking to me!
(Thanks buddy, I owe you one!)

Anyway, here they are in all of their "glory"!

A tipped Ulster deer-head small stockman.

A Colonial fish knife, also tipped...

A small Imperial Diamond-Edge stockman. It is in good shape, and might be a candidate to re-handle!

FA5CE56F-3B1A-4ABF-A7A4-6A579A572DCD.jpeg
And a Chinese Saber with faded fake scrimshaw, and a heavy rust stain on the back! I have an almost identical Saber that I started making handles for, only mine was made in Taiwan instead.

This has been a fun POS exchange. Thanks!

That foursome is pretty lame compared to some other packages shown so far, but I hope you like at least one of them.

The DE is very similar, but one size smaller than the one that I carried through my elementary school years (to school and church and everywhere. Kids these days don’t know how bad they have it!) Mine had the classic clip blade though. If you restore it, I’d sure like to see a picture.

Like Nev52, my first time doing this. If I draw your name next year, I’ll redeem my shortcomings.

nonsense Parker - you played this years POS like a violin - it’s not the quantity of poo that counts but the intent of the poo - on that front you hit a home run - BRAVO!

On top of what ever bestgear boxed up and sent this way, the Post Office got into the act and in their wisdom instead of routing the package from Philadelphia to Chicago, they sent it to Peachtree City/Atlanta GA. :x It was scheduled for delivery today but now, only God knows when I'll get it.

A lot of the players "up the ante" every year and include some nicer knives in the pile, but at the heart of this is the joy of sending on a stinker to someone else, just to gauge their reaction.
It reminds me stories from before my time, when my Grandfather and his uncle would trade knives by mail. They loved trying to "get one over" on the other one, and would laugh over the tricks that they pulled on one another. That is what this is to me: showing off and sharing the worst knives you can find, and having a good laugh in the process!

Got mine from Reverand yesterday. My dog was really interested in the package, but then I've seen him eat poop.

The little Chinese multi tool isn't bad and will come in handy. They stuff in the upper right is nice, some old imperials that are neat.

Thank you.
