I’m not sure about that ::shrug:: as the Giveaway Coordinator position gives me so much pleasure to connect a willing donor with a willing winner ::groove:: but Ken’s Big Sky fixed-blade will join My Heirloom Collection along with proper documentation so that generations from now will know about our escapades here on AAPK!

Thanks guys - I’m still rather stunned but in a good way with a boy-like smile impatiently waiting for the letter carrier. This has happened so much of late and rarely do I hear the back story; I always hope that everything is OK and that life just got in the way of remembering to revisit AAPK.

That is always my 1st thought Tom, that whomever won and hasn't claimed their prize is in some way incapacitated, because to enter a contest and then ignore the results just isn't logical. Anyway, you're now the official winner and you can look at it like a "Store Closing" gift! 8)

::nod:: hadn't thought about it that way ... like a retirement party without the party but with a gift ... way better than a gold watch ... I like your thinking ::nod::

I came home from the range today and the box from Ken was waiting in my office. Thankfully we only live about 200 miles apart and I didn’t have to wait until Monday for its arrival. First off, Ken knows how to properly wrap, pack and ship a fixed blade knife. Bubble wrap was in full play as well as plenty of quality packing materials keeping this 18 year old NOS knife safe and protected.

Second, the handwritten letter included a Buck coin from 2002 commentating their 100th anniversary and they will all be housed in the original box along with others in My Heirloom Collection.

Lastly, I hope the pictures speak 1,000 words, to say I’m overjoyed would be an understatement; I now know what others have experienced when as the Giveaway Coordinator, I make their day letting them know they are this months winner.

Thank you Ken, I will treasure this Big Sky always!

Thanks for the kudos, Tom. However, anytime a fellow knifer and Brother can put a smile like yours on a face, it just adds that much more to the MKG program, albeit, I'm sure there have been many in the past from many other winners. ::nod::

Again...CONGRATS! And I'm glad it made it to you in perfect condition. ::ds:: A very nice addition to your Heirloom Collection.

Tom, I’d say that knife made it to the right spot for sure.
