December 2019 AAPK Monthly Giveaway

Post by bestgear »

This month Ken (Mumbleypeg) has donated a new Case 61749L SS Copperlock. Thanks for your generosity Ken ::tu:: ::handshake:: Here's what you are playing for:
" This month’s donor has graciously donated a Case 61749L SS Copperlock, with Jigged Amber bone covers and made in 2000. Good walk-and-talk opening and closing, locks up tight. Features a long pull and attractive blade swages. NIB, original box, wrapper and paperwork. Just old enough to possibly be attractive to collectors of newer Case knives or would make someone a great EDC. Stored almost 20 years in an airtight mayonnaise jar under the porch!
Instructions for entering the giveaway...

Simply click here and select a number between 0 and 999.

Please note you will now have up to 6:00 PM Eastern Time to pick a number on the day of the drawing not a day before like previous drawings!

You will have until December 31st (6:00 P.M. Eastern) to pick a number. After this time, an official "Final List" of the entrants will be posted in this thread. The winner will be determined by the Illinois State Lottery evening pick three drawing on December 31st. The Individual closest to the selected number without going over will win. The Illinois lottery results can be found on the following website:

http://www.illinoislottery.com/en-us/Pick_3.html

You must be 18 years of age or older to play. The winner will be sent a PM after the drawing and will have 10 days to respond with your contact information and shipping address. If you do not respond within the allotted time, the knife will be given to the next closest winner on the list without going over.

Good Luck!

My fear in posting that is that the Duke's vs. Hellmann's vs. Whatever controversy would re-emerge and overshadow the beautiful knife that Ken graciously stepped-up to donate but it was too funny to edit.

What's the matter? Ya just couldn't bring yourself to say "Miracle Whip"? I've got to admit, I did give it some consideration. ::hmm:: Now if this gets something started, it's all your fault. ::stir::

To be honest, I always viewed Miracle Whip as a less expensive alternative to mayonnaise but that could be my privileged New England upbringing. My wife uses the stuff all the time on her sandwiches, but then again, she put's ketchup in chicken noodle soup ::facepalm::

Thanks for the comments y’all. My pleasure to do a little something for my AAPK “knifing” family.

Somehow, “stored in a salad dressing jar” just doesn’t have the same ring to it. ::sotb::

Good luck to everyone! Somebody will enjoy this knife.

Ken, that is a first rate CASE right there. Thank you very much.

As soon as I read about the mayonnaise jar my first thought was,”uh oh, JerryD wouldn’t even touch it!” Lol

Phil, I think I have one of those pockets too, tight there in my overall britches! ::handshake::

Many thanks to Ken (Mumbleypeg) for stepping up and taking the responsibility for December which was originally claimed by "mytwobobos" (did he die? Is that the reason he never responded to Tom's efforts to contact him? ::shrug:: ).
