Beautiful stag, and very nicely done! Thanks Dale, for the generous offering, and for all the things you do for us on AAPK.
It's folks like you that help make it possible for the rest of us freeloaders to enjoy it here.

Ken you are correct, as it has been wearing on me. What can I do to help the AAPK financially. I know this has to cost someone. I haven't seen a place to make a contribution or otherwise. It would help my conscious if I could give back something in return for all the enjoyment and knowledge thats been shared with me.

You can contact Bryan, the owner of this site and let him know you'd like to make a contribution to AAPK. He does not solicit donations but I don't think that he would refuse one if offered.montemojo wrote:Ken you are correct, as it has been wearing on me. What can I do to help the AAPK financially. Thanks Phil will do, I was also thinking maybe an AAPK auction with donated knives by concerned members. I dont know how that would work out. I was thinking about the PBS auction they have every year. I beleive it is a non profit organization. I think the AAPK would be similar.

Beautifully customized knife Dale - congratulations on all your milestones! OH

Re: 10 Year Anniversity Knife Giveaway - Custom Kershaw
Thanks guys for all the kind and congratulatory words.
AAPK truly is a unique place on the worldwide web! It is the friendliest of any knife site I have been on, (out of about 20+ knife related sites I have or have had membership in at one time), and it continues to become friendlier as it grows.
I can honestly say some of the nicest people I know are AAPK members! As an administrator on AAPK I am called upon from time to time to deal with problems. Usually it is just a misunderstanding and it is easily resolved, but sometimes it is a problem individual and even then we can usually work the issues out. It is very rare that I have to ban a member from the forum.
The members of AAPK are what makes AAPK the best knife forum on the web; you folks are the friendly ones who freely share your knowledge with new members and new collectors. When a new member asks a ‘newbee’ questions you folks patiently answer the question as if it was the first time you had ever heard that question. Most of you know this is not the norm on many knife forums! On some forums someone asking a newbee question is excoriated, ridiculed and told to use the search function, which may or may not work. Every time I see how patiently our members answer a new members question it makes me proud to be a member of the AAPK family!
You folks are what makes AAPK great!
It is my privilege to know so many of you personally and serve all of you as an administrator on AAPK.

Well said, Dale! Thanks for all you, and the other moderators, do to keep this forum running smoothly. Moderators on this forum are so unobtrusive I am sure many members may not be aware that we even have moderators.

For the most part, AAPK is self-regulating and that's one of the many things I like about this forum. For those rare times an Admin needs to step in, they do it in a calm, quiet way that doesn't disturb the cosmos. Thank you guys for your dedication, your quiet work in the shadows and your friendly demeanor.orvet wrote:As an administrator on AAPK I am called upon from time to time to deal with problems. Congrats on the milestones. 65 ain't near as old as it once was since I've already past that number and have retired. Thanks for the giveaway, it is a super knife.
