Late Night Lodge

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Having my coffee and looking through a knife catalog that came last Saturday. Absolutely amazed at what they cost these days. I’ve only bought one knife this year because it was a great deal I couldn’t pass up. Between recession and the terrible economy, knives are on the bottom of the list.

Hey Late Nighters!

Thought I would drop into the LNL 'cause it's been awhile! Been rotating my knives on my desk from time to time as I can't seem to keep my hands off of 'em. ::shrug::
Playing some older Madden football before bedtime. Helps take away the stress and let's me have some fun before bed.
Hope y'all have a great night. Rest well and have a great night!

It’s been a long time since anyone posted here.
It would be good to get it going again. I’m chilling out this evening watching tv. Music documentary on David Grisman and Jerry Garcia playing bluegrass. Movie is called Grateful Dawg. Enjoying it immensely.
I’ll probably get to sleep early tonight after this show ends.
Good night …………

I’d forgotten about this thread. I’m often a late night person, last night was 1:30 AM. Best not be that late tonight!

Middle of the night, 4am actually. Dog needed to go out to pee so woke me from a sound sleep. It’s ok. She rules the house. Gonna try to get a few more hours of sleep.

Same, same here only it wasn't a dog needing to pee that woke me up.

Still up working on wood burning art designs. I'm going to try to darken a
darken a 5"x7" wood canvas leaving a figure of the moon and hopefully some
stars in the background and an airliner flying through it's light, something
like this picture.

Well, I'm up late working on my knife inventory. I'm finding knives I've completely forgotten about. We've not had any shows around here for three or four years and it is amazing how much knives of the same brand and patterns are selling for on the Bay as opposed to what I had on my stickers for the last show. There is also a big difference here on the AAPK sold pages. I knew that inflation was hitting this market hard too because I've passed up quite a few knives in the last few months because of their prices. I did buy my first knife of 2023 a few days ago. I was browsing through a local antique store and found a U.S.A. made Schrade 8OT in great shape, doesn't look to have been sharpened, for $9.00. The dealer had it mixed in with a bunch of Chinese Schrades. I guess he wasn't paying attention. I hope everyone has a great night and a better tomorrow. Stay safe.---Rick.

Insomnia strikes. Just came back into my house as I was on the porch having a cigar and some bourbon. Bamarick, I agree with you about the rise in knife prices. I quit buying any for the most part. As long as folks pay these insane prices, they won’t gonna come back down. I’ll buy only if I find a great deal.
Have a great night everyone. I’m going to try and get some sleep.

First time in awhile, I couldn’t fall asleep at all. Watched some old western movies on TV until I came online here.
