TEXANS! Starting 9/1/21 What’s gonna be your new EDC???
Texans have been denied their 2nd Amendment Rights for 150 years (1871-2021). Celebrate your Rights with responsibility, and decide what your new EDC will be.
St. John Chapter 1
...12 But as many as received him (Jesus), to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God...
...12 But as many as received him (Jesus), to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God...

Nothing been holding back those Texans who have had a license to carry. Or those who have wished to carry long guns, or carry in their vehicles. I doubt it will make much if any difference to the rest. Unless you have a license you still can't carry most places (most have "unlicensed carry prohibited" signs).
I am by no means against it, but IMHO as a Texan it's mostly symbolic, a lot of to do about nothing. It changes nothing for me - my EDC is, and has been a M&P 45 Shield.

I love the frame and grips on that 1911, how old would you say it is? Thanks.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Well, it’s a model 1903 pocket hammer that, by the serial number, was manufactured in 1911.1967redrider wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 8:34 pm I love the frame and grips on that 1911, how old would you say it is? Thanks.

I hear what you’re saying. I too have a license, but that license was not in the spirit of the amendment itself, because having to do something, other than being a citizen in order to exercise that right, IMHO, is the very definition of the word infringement.Mumbleypeg wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 8:33 pm Nothing been holding back those Texans who have had a license to carry. If I tried to carry at work I think I would be summarily fired.
Looking for the magic penny!
Re: TEXANS! Starting 9/1/21 What’s gonna be your new EDC???
I think it just depends on where you work. Does the employee handbook prohibit concealed carry? Were you told by the owner that you couldn’t?Just Plain Dave wrote: ↑Sun Sep 05, 2021 6:33 pm If I tried to carry at work I think I would be summarily fired.
There are so many questions, but a good starting point would be to lookup what the law states first, then check to see if your employer has any documentation concerning concealed carry.
