HELP!!!!!!An unusual Facebook problem............
I know this is probably not the place to bring this up but I Facebook has been either unwilling or unable to provide me an answer to this problem.
Having had many problems with posting on FB I finally gave up in disgust and elected to discontinue my Facebook account. As you may(or may not)know, they give you 30 days to re-consider your decision before removing you permanently. So before the 30 days had elapsed I decided to give it one more try. I re-activated my account and started to post there once more. Everything seemed to be working OK until yesterday when I attempted to post something and the post displayed backwards! I mean the letters were backward and read from right to left. When I try to erase it,only the last letter typed will be removed and the cursor moves to the beginning. The only way to remove the post is to do one letter at a time;moving the cursor forward after each letter is removed.
As far as I know I did nothing to bring this phenomenon about and repeated attempts to contact them were unsuccessful. Strangely enough when I posted my problem on the help section it printed out normally.
My computer is a "Fred Flintstone Model Windows XP" so that might account for some of the problem. Has anyone ever experienced anything like that before?

I have not only never experienced that, I'm not even aware of the method by which you could activate that "feature".

Re: HELP!!!!!!An unusual Facebook problem............
I might be wrong (in fact I probably am) but I gave up on using Windows XP several years ago, because every site I went to immediately told me I was using Windows XP and therefore I had the plague and they would not interact with me. I tried several different browsers but it made no difference because underlying them was still XP. So maybe Fakebook is trying to tell you something.
I don’t do Fakebook, never have. Nor Tweeter, or anything else.

I don't think it has anything to do with the content of my posts as I do not engage in political topics of any type.

That is weird that it only does it when you try to make a post on FB. What happens if you try to comment on someone else's post?
Facebook likes to hide my posts, and try to get me to pay to boost the business ones.
That said, years ago I had a nearly new XP computer decide to type everything backwards everywhere. Took 2 or 3 hours on the phone with tech support to fix it.

Try clearing your cache and temporary data. You can do this from your web browser's settings or preferences. You'll need to use instructions specific to your browser version and your operating system.

Re: HELP!!!!!!An unusual Facebook problem............
We live-stream our church services and bible studies through our church facebook page. This past week we've been experiencing audio problems--a constant "chk-chk-chk", nothing understandable. Can't figure it out. May see about calling them, unless anyone here has ideas we can try first.
Take care and God bless,
Steve

I don't use Facebook myself, and I'm thinking of starting a YouTube channel.

Steve, be sure to let us know if you set up on YouTube.
I once got on Face Book. 24 hours later I had to jump through hoops to get myself removed. One of my better life decisions.

During the pandemic when we were looking for a medium to broadcast worship services and such, I chose YouTube. First of all, I don’t Facebook, second you retain more ownership on YouTube, and third studies have shown that more people go to YouTube first before going to Facebook. Here’s our channel at church if it helps.Steve Warden wrote: ↑Thu Jun 17, 2021 4:26 pmI don't use Facebook myself, and I'm thinking of starting a YouTube channel.

I've never had a problem with Facebook, but then again I've never been on facebook. Nor do I ever plan to.

Is the YouTube stream viewable live? Or is it just record, post, watch later?Colonel26 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 17, 2021 7:35 pm

We live steam the whole Sunday worship service and it keeps it up as an upload. The Sunday school lessons I do as a recorded keynote presentation. Apple keynote is awesome in that I can record my voice as I go through the presentation and it saves as a QuickTime movie. Then I upload it to YouTube.Steve Warden wrote: ↑Thu Jun 17, 2021 9:23 pmIs the YouTube stream viewable live? Or is it just record, post, watch later?Colonel26 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 17, 2021 7:35 pm

We have an informal Facebook group for the church. The video links get posted there as well.

All I know about Facebook is their fact checkers are in the tank for the Joe show.
I got my hand slapped once and a lot of my shares can't be seen.
I don't have it as an app. I get to it via internet on my phone.
Carry on.
