Has stuff coming out of the hood which my 64 never had...
But in the absence of Centerline Wheels at least these are better.

Got some neat stuff today.
I think the crown jewel is a 75 Chevy Stepside.
But it could use better looking wheels.

Those GM square-body trucks are great. I might have one were it not for the copious amounts of salt Michigan insists on using during the winter.

Today's find:a Hot Wheels 1957 Buick Caballero wagon marked "Poppa's Rod Shop" and the hood opens revealing an engine! For a buck I couldn't resist.

Nice one! I didn't even know HW had done the Caballero. The livery looks great also.

So many of those older toolings have been revamped to seal opening parts and add in as much plastic as they can--I have only seen like a couple of current metal body and chassis mainline models, and they're usually quite small vehicles. Even opening hoods are rare on HWs these days, even the premium metal chassis $5 models. I buy models with opening parts when I can, even if a little newer than what I typically buy used.

For example, the 1965 Mustang Convertible was metal body/chassis with an opening hood for decades. That tooling's last mainline use was in the Mustang 50th 5-pack. I paid $8 at Advance Auto for the first one I saw, which had the metal chassis/opening hood 1965 'Stang. Well, I later learned a running change that year in that pack was a move to a new '65 Mustang Convertible tooling--sealed hood and plastic chassis. Welp, the next one I found was that version.
