What is your favorite brand of jeans (or bib overalls)
The "World Gone Mad" thread got me to thinking about the "denim trousers" (blue jean) brands most people wear and I wondered what your favorite brand is. All brands may not be available in your area. Brands in your area may not be available in other locals. I did not include store brands such as Sonoma (Kohls), Roebuck & Co. (Sears), Arizona (JCPenny), Rustler & Faded Glory (Wal-Mart and others), etc, etc.
You can (but are not obligated to) choose two and you are allowed to change your vote. This poll will run forever so if five years from now, you find this thread buried in obscurity, feel free to resurrect it and vote.

I had to say "Other" because I buy the Kirkland brand jeans from Costco. Costco is much more popular in the West than in other parts of the country. $13 is pretty hard to beat!

I voted Wrangler but Wrangler Riggs is what I wear. They have several versions of Riggs and I wear the Contractor jeans. (Not Carpenter)
They hold up very well, have some nice pockets, and I like the large watch pocket. I can carry up to a 4 inch closed knife the watch pocket horizontally.

Re: What is your favorite brand of jeans (or bib overalls)
Wrangler jeans and Big Smith overalls for me. I've migrated to "Advanced Comfort" Wranglers which are a polyester and cotton blend which is sweat "wicking" - helps in the Texas heat! They cost a little more but well worth it.
I wear Big Smith when I wear overalls, because that's what both my grandpa's and my dad wore. For all around comfort you can't beat overalls, but I don't find them conducive to Texas summertime wear. My grandpa on my dads side rarely wore anything else. He wore his best pair to church every Sunday, along with a white shirt and tie.

Mostly I wear Key Logger jeans and Gravel Gear from Northern Tool.
The logger jeans have button sewn on them for suspenders. Welch suspenders are the best!

Our big thrift store sometimes has like-new jeans for $6. So I buy whatever brand fits and is almost new. But I don't often find my size, I'm 6 ft 6.

Bought and worn Wrangler Pro Rodeo for decades but they're not as well made since the move to Mexico. Have tried some Carhart (they're ok) and Red Head (Bass Pro) which are really pretty good. The best I've found recently are Texas Jeans; USA made denim and the pants are sewn in Texas - great fit and comfortable cut - mail order only for me (none stocked locally). OH

Where's Lucky Brand, Jerry? Too Metrosexual? They feel like pajama pants right out of the store. Guess I'm going with my standby Levi's.

Wranglers when I'm not dressed for work or church.
My wife prefers how they fit me over the Levis.

Re: What is your favorite brand of jeans (or bib overalls)
This one of those topics that goes way back in my memory. As a boy growing up in Orange County, Florida there was a store where lots of country folks went to purchase their blue jeans. The store name was B.E. Purcell, in addition to jeans, they sold boots, Stetson hats, saddles, washing machines, etc. This was before shopping plazas, malls and Disney. I don't remember how many different brands of jeans they handled but they were the place to buy real Levis. The 1st price I remember paying myself was $3.50 a pair for the 501 style. You had to buy a size bigger because they would shrink after the 1st washing. I remember many days having blue legs after wearing new 501s to school or work. The 501s had a button fly and real rivets, you didn't lean on somebody's new truck. Later on when a certain element of society decided to wear and popularize Levis and I decided they didn't need my business any more, especially when they got too expensive to wear for work. A lot of our folks still wear Levi's even my 94 year old father-in-law.
Now I wear Wrangler jeans and Liberty and Dickies bibs.

Re: What is your favorite brand of jeans (or bib overalls)
Before switching to Kirkland, I only wore Wranglers. When I was in grammar school, my legs were long and I was so skinny that the only pants that would fit were Lee Slim. In high school I could finally switch to Wrangler Pro Rodeo, then as time took its toll at 35+, it became Wrangler Relaxed Fit. Levis were what the city kids wore...

Re: What is your favorite brand of jeans (or bib overalls)
Levi's were still shrink to fit, button fly and $3.50 a pair at Rockford Dry Goods when I hit civilian life again in '66. My mother would buy three pair of Levi's at the start of each school year and they would be plumb wore out by the time it was time to buy my school clothes. When I got old enough to bale hay, they were beyond wore out. I don't remember ever wearing anything but Levi's but then these days, there are a lot of things I don't remember.

I have been buying the Menards store brand, called Old Mill. The unlined ones for 3 season use, and the fleece lined for South Dakota winter use. Unlined run $9.99, lined are $17.99 a pair on sale.

Re: What is your favorite brand of jeans (or bib overalls)
Carhartts are the only on that holds up to my work. Usually I buy the double front loggers jeans. I wear them for church until they get a little faded and then they are for work. I have never worn out a pocket in Carhartts, but wore through the front pockets of all the others before the knees went.___Dave

Re: What is your favorite brand of jeans (or bib overalls)
I had to pick 'other' since LL Bean was not on the list.
I started out in life wearing Levi's 501' button fly but when I found that Levi supports causes to which I am opposed I switched to Wranglers. As I grew (literally), I tried out Bean's with the expandable waist. I bought a couple of pair and it seems like they will last for the rest of my life.

Now a days I wear Wrangler Riggs Ripstop jeans. Lots of room to move around in. Big pockets. They are heavy duty and tough.

Re: What is your favorite brand of jeans (or bib overalls)
Well now mostly whatever I find at the thrift store, last pair I found was Lee, before that was carpenter jeans that still had the new tags on them, they are WEBS, I never heard of them but i really like them. I guit wearing bibs when Washington Dee Cee went under, but have been thinking about buying some Rural King brand. My favorite blue jeans of all time was a brand called H.I.S. a small drygoods store near me carried them and were the best imho. The last new jeans I bought was the belk's saddle bred brand, under 10 bucks on clearance. Pretty decent for the money.
