HAPPY BIRTHDAY Jerryd6818

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

My thanks to all for the birthday wishes. As I said before this is a great group of guys. The game is coming on pretty soon so I'll recap the day tomorrow morning when I have regained some of my oomph. Wishing everyone a pleasant evening.

Chris, my little red necked buddy, you are a hoot. ::handshake::

It was a great day yesterday. Perfect Midwestern summer weather and as peaceful as a baby sleeping in it's mother's arms. Had calls from relatives, old Marine Corps buddies and long time friends. My daughter and one of my granddaughters even called me (that granddaughter is the thoughtful one).

There were gifts but the ones you guys are interested in are the knives. I had "suggested" a special Case 6207 Mini-Trapper for Linnea's consideration and decided if she didn't get it, I would buy it for myself. The snot parceled out the gifts and saved this one for last. Does she know me or what?

The mail came before Linnea got to my place and some generous but devious soul (I'm sure from AAPK) had a Case Mini-Trapper with cap lifter shipped directly to my door. I'm going to assume it was intended as a birthday gift since in arrived on my birthday. With the state the Post Office is in these days, how did you manage that Mystery Giver. Pretty slick and a total surprise. If that was what you were going for, mission accomplished.

Check it out. Ain't she a beauty? (I'm going to copy this over to the Bomb thread)

The mystery is solved. It was a birthday present from my daughter. Apparently I had added that to my public Amazon wish list. I don't remember doing that but....................

Now if the Cubs could have managed to eek out a win against the Snakes, the day would have been perfect.
