Free fishing gear

Post by gsmith7158 »

My wife has a very dear friend whose father just passed away and she had the arduous task of cleaning out his Marietta loft townhome in order to settle his estate so my wife and I went over there to help her for a couple of days and she wound up giving us all kinds of stuff 3 couches , 2chairs, 5 end and coffee tables and several book shelves and cabinets which may soon be converted to knife storage ::woot:: but the one thing that excited me most was 3 fishing rods. We'll she had them all wrapped up and I couldn't tell anything about them and just put them in the shed until later. Today is later and here is what I got : zebco 77, zebco 202 and a Shakespeare firebird. ::groove::

When the people fear their government, that is tyranny. When government fears the people, that is freedom.

Yes I have Tommy. When my son and I were in Indian Guides we had a camp out there on the Ocmulgee. I am sure I have a pic of the two of us. If I can find it I will post it when I get home.

................greg , back in the mid eighties, we had been to parris island, s.c. for my youngest sons grad. from marine corps basic trng., and I decided to go back home thru s. ga. instead of the way we went over and we went thru lumber city and saw the old marker on hwy. 23(it was wood back then, I understand it's now been replaced with a permanent marker).I wanted to walk to the lake(Montgomery), but it was about 1/2 mile off the road and it had been raining a lot that year, so I didn't get to see the lake. did go by the hdwe. store where it was weighed and the post office where the only known photo of it was taken. would really liked to have seen the lake, but the guy at the store said I'd have to have a 4wd vehicle to get there, still bugs me after all these years that I was that close and never got to see the lake!!.............. ::td:: .....................
