Definitely cool Jerry! I do love belt buckle knives.I have a Parker scrimshaw one around somewhere but the clip to hold it on to the buckle broke years ago(my fault).I'll have to dig it out if I can remember where it is.jerryd6818 wrote:Monkey see. Re: More Belt Buckles.............
Here are a few of my belt buckles-
This is an Al Mar belt buckle knife that I wore daily for 5 or 6 years.
I used it a lot, as you can tell, but you can still shave with it!
The knife is a replacement, I lost the first one cutting fire wood.
Al gave me a replacement knife. Case buckle that has been worn a lot also- A few of my Marine Corps belt buckles-
The top one was issued to me about 1970. The belt was purchased recently, not issue by the Corps.
The second one is a gift from my wife. She got it from Sgt. Grit.
The third one I bought in the 1980s, we sold them in the cutlery store.

Re: More Belt Buckles.............
Jeez, Dale. Why didn't you say we were showing web belt buckles. I don't know what happened to the buckle I wore everyday during my enlistment but I bought this one just before I got out as a spare and never wore it. The belt it's on isn't mine. It belongs to my best buddy during my enlistment and I have no idea how I came about it. I told him about it a few years ago and he said he didn't need it so just keep it (read that, it don't fit anymore). The camo job was done with a magic marker after I got out. Occasionally I will wear this with a slightly longer belt. (Oh, about 10" longer.)
The second buckle is nothing fancy, just heavy duty. It was on a belt I bought about 20 years ago. I wore out the belt and Rick of RGLeather (forum member) made a new belt for me. We decided that since the buckle was so "salty", I should move it to the new belt. Done, done and done. I'm pretty sure it's nickel silver since a magnet won't stick to it. The tongue is steel. This is my everyday belt & buckel.

I forgot to add this in with the Marine Corps buckles.
Not a belt buckle, but it accomplishes a similar purpose, i.e. keeping my pants up!

Re: More Belt Buckles.............
Neat stuff being posted here guys! That Al Mar is a VERY special piece Dale. The suspenders are pretty trick too lol. I could never get used to wearing them;the clips kept releasing and one pair tore the leather upholstery in my Trans Am.
I can't come up with any more belt buckles but here are a few examples of another clothing accessory I like:bolo ties.
First one is a miniature ivory handled bowie mounted on a piece od crown stag I bought on e-Bay for about $10.Looks to be hand made as the knife is held on with thin wire and the tie clip with Phillips head screws.
Second one is a custom miniature fighter I had Jim Turecek in Derby CT make for me about 25 years ago. What amazes me about this one is that the stag grain is actually scaled to match the size of the knife.Held in place by a tiny spring loaded button under the handle just in back of the guard.
A funny story behind this:It took about 10 months from the time I ordered it until it was done and just before the NCCA show(where I was supposed to get it)Jim called and told me that he had another customer who really wanted one of them and was willing to pay me $100 over what I paid to buy mine.I told him I would rather have the bolo.
The third one is a bolo made by Jim Nolen of the Nolen brothers. It is not stamped with their logo(an N in an oval)but I verified that it was one of his through his son Steve who still runs the business(both Jim and Doyle have passed).I e-mailed him pics and he informed me that he has an identical one he wears every day.I paid $15 for it on e-Bay.The knife is affixed permanently to the piece of picture jasper.
The next few are various ones I've picked up over the years and unique in their own right.Hope you enjoy them and feel free to post pics of any you may have.
