If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

The Official Cut Myself Thread

Post by jerryd6818 »

We have an official thread for everything else. It only seemed fitting there should be an Official Cut Myself thread, expecially giving consideration to the number of "accidents" during the past six months to a year.

Here's my current owee. I was closing the coping blade on (what else?) a Camillus 72. ::dang:: ::dang:: ::dang::

Oooh, I've been cut by a coping blade, a time or two, over the last ten years myself. Delayed pain but hurts like the dickens!

Was it an operator malfunction or just an ill-mannered knife? ::dang:: ::dang::

T.J. -- Operator ::facepalm::

Monk -- Thanks for reminding me. I used my last bandaid and now I'm out (except for those worthless little tiny jobber doies). I like the stretchy cloth type.

Perry -- They sell Hello Kitty bandaids? ::woot:: I want some "He who shall not be named sucks the big one" bandaids.

I did a filet of finger flap job on my index finger a few weeks back. Thin slice, wide and long. Just wrapped it up and fixed it in the shed. No pics as it was not to the bone.

I do however have a interesting scar from when I poked myself in the palm with a blade tip, a clip blade as I recall, a few years back. Not a bad wound but how it healed up is interestng. It was along one of my palm "life lines" or what ever the hell they are called. Directly below the poke was a solid raised lump I have on both hands from meta- carpal or something so the pressure from the lump did not allow for the wound to close back up. Heal up as a hole.

Pics show the hole I was left with about 1/4 to 5/16 inch deep. Deeper than it is wide by about 2 times.I stuck the full tip of my CASE 31 SAB in there for depth reference in the second pic. Freaks people out a bit when they see it.

Kinda hard to get a god pic but you get the idea.

Probably not Ferg but it's way too late now to be thinking about that. My hands are covered with scars from past "incidents".

HAHA! I cut my eyeball worse than any of those cuts just a few weeks ago ::woot:: This past sunday whilst packing up to leave the swap I managed to close a Boker Folding Hunter on my thumb from nail through the quick and around a bit. These things always seem to happen when your about done with whatever your doing and thinking it's all down hill from here, 1 split second of not paying full attention and OWIE. 4 days ago now and healing quite well... Super glue is your friend ::tu:: Infection is a good thing right? The trick was not getting blood all over my knives while packing it all up...Sorry no blood in pic but I'm sure Juniper berries pics will have plenty of blood and mangled flesh for alll of us ::nod:: Focus fellas .... Be Safe!
