If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Everything you need to know to join the fun, including the "secret password" (CASEXX) can be found in this thread:

Welcome to the party John. :D

No, Fankie is not jerryd. For reasons unknown, jerryd has dropped out of the game (and his presence is greatly missed :( ). But no one seems to know who the mysterious "Fankie" is as no such name appears on the AAPK member roll. My best guess is it's either a member who chose a different username for the trivia game or a lurker who isn't a member but read this thread and got the password from my earlier post to Greg. Either way, he (or she) is a formidable & fast player.

If I may, here are a few tips I have learned from my playing experience that you might find helpful:

One thing you'll find after playing for awhile is that the questions are recycled and will show up again in future games. I got lucky not long ago and 5 of the 10 questions were ones I had seen before. Since I recognized them, I didn't even have to finish reading the question to know the correct answer (that's why some of the times might seem impossibly fast ::nod:: ).

One important lesson that took me a while to learn that will serve you well in the future is to review the questions you missed and memorize the correct answers. That way, if/when they do show up again, you won't miss them again (which I have done more than once on the exact same question ::facepalm:: ).

Anyway, it's fun and I hope you stick with it even if you don't win as much as you'd like to; no one judges your intelligence if you do poorly on a game because we all understand that the questions you get (which, BTW, are not necessarily the same questions everyone else is getting on any particular day) are simply the luck of the draw, especially in certain categories like Music which depends on what musical genres you're familiar with. For example, I know next to nothing about rap or hip hop or a lot of modern country music, so when I get questions about those types of music, I just have to take a blind guess and move on. Sometimes I get lucky and guess correctly, but not too often. Same goes for hobbies. I know absolutely zilch about these "Magic" or "Dungeons & Dragons" type card games. ::shrug::

Good luck and I look forward to having you in the game! 8) ::tu::
