It's a pretty old second hand buffer. But still while the guy was under it a while back to replace a seal or more recently how he couldn't tell that pulley was going out.

Good Mornin', Fellers.
What a difference 24 hours makes! Yesterday it was down to 33 and this morning it is 49 with rain promised. There ain't none on the radar but the weather folks said it was comin', at least they got the morning warm up right. ::shrug::
Royal, praying that you get "good grades" on your tests today. I remember when the cardiologist told Miss Joy she should have studied harder.
Y'all have a blessed day!

Good morning. Yesterday somehow I missed seeing a spot of ice mixed in the grass I was walking through at work. The next thing I knew I was flat on my back looking up. I hit hard and was mostly worried about hitting my head, which hit full force on the frozen ground. A couple aspirin took care of that but mu hip, back and left leg are complaining big time. We don't have a ton of work left to do on the addition but pretty much all of it is climbing on scaffold. On the positive side, I won the bid on a small table and a parlor stove last night and I pick them up at noon today. On the negative side moving a parlor stove with a sore back and leg will be a challenge. Life is good. It sure could be worse. I could be Charlie Rose or Al Frankin. I'm going to love that stove in my shop this winter. The wind is blowing up a storm out there this morning. Have a great Tuesday. ____Dave

Happy day before Thanksgiving y'all. There's about a 50/50 chance the buffer will be fixed.
They are having a party of sorts today. I'm considering not going.
Coffee is pretty fair.

Mornin' fellers and since I'll likely be out of touch tomorrow, a Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
I will head out for church to carve a batch of turkeys this morning. We are furnishing Thanksgiving meals to over a hundred folks out there. I'll do my thing this morning and then we're off to Houston to see our kids and have Thanksgiving there. I have much for which I am thankful at this stage of my life. ::pray::
Hope you all have a good day today and tomorrow. ::tu:: ::pray::

Scott: You be the man! Doing a great thing. And I mean great.

Good Morning to all. Royal your coffee is mighty fine. My day will be mostly spent parked before the computer screen and probably just two sites: AAPK and binging on the series "Justified." [Unusually good script writing.]Probably make some onion soup with some additional veggies depending on what I find in the fridge. Hope you all have the best day possible.

Good Mornin', Y'all!
Glad everyone has got their day planned out. It's always hectic before a holiday around here. Yesterday Miss Joy and the lady that helps her clean were in high gear, there are now 3 loaves of pumpkin bread, a couple of pecan pies, 2 homemade fruitcakes and a couple of her special pumpkin pies in the kitchen. I've found over the years, it's best to lay low when all this starts, just be available for lifting and menial tasks such as chopping up pecans. After I moved a couple of heavy items yesterday I went to the lease and made sure the deer stand was not full of active wasp nests. Today, Thanksgiving Day preparations will be on hold for a few hours as we have to get shot #4 of 5 in my right knee. Have to drive to Panama and I'm sure the traffic will be worse than last week. ::td::
Y'all have a great day gettin' ready for tomorrow!

Garry, did you miss it the first time around?

Justified, Saving Grace, Longmire. All great shows. The best TV had to offer and not a one of them on one of the big four.

Ray, when you get down to Houston, wave at my son for me.

Philip, make that one pecan pie and 1½ loaves of fruitcake. I snuck in and kipped a pie and half a loaf of fruitcake while you were out to the north forty, killin' wasps and piddlin' around.

All you hooligans have a pleasant and peaceful Thanksgiving. Make sure you leave a dab on your plate for the little people.

I've got to work today then I'm off until next Tuesday. I'm using up my last vacation day on Monday to facilitate a short little trip down Scott's way. My family had our Thanksgiving gathering and meal on Sunday since we were going to be gone. We will catch an early flight to Tampa in the morning and with any luck at all, we'll get to watch the sunset tomorrow over the Gulf. I haven't been down that way in several years so I'm really looking forward to this little getaway. In case I'm offline, I hope each of you have a great Thanksgiving.

The gangs all here at my home, last one arrived just before midnight! Today I'll wrap-up my work duties around mid-day and head into the kitchen for a long spell. I'm the chief cook and bottle-washer in my home and Thanksgiving is my Super Bowl. All the fixins' are ready to be prepped and I'll get most of it done today. For those of you traveling, be safe and alert, we need you back in one piece. For those of you staying put, keep those that are traveling in your thoughts and prayers. My oldest son told me last night that he wanted to "go through" my knife collection this weekend, motivation unknown but at least I have one thing on the agenda that we can all agree upon! Happy Thanksgiving everyone if I don't make it back to the keyboard in a few days. Tom

Hey, am I on clean-up today. I just got here and everyone's gone. I had one of those rare nights for me anyway where I just couldn't get to sleep after midnight. Thankfully I go to bed around 8:30 so I'm not a total zombie. I have a couple hours work and then off for the Thanksgiving weekend. Have a great day. ____Dave

Still an hour of morning where I live.
The buffer was not fixed. The other David came by yesterday and cleaned out all of the
stuff I've been using. So with a conventional mop I did what I needed to on the floor.
Wednesday is marquee day but not today. I take it down Friday.
And it doesn't go back up until next Wednesday.
My back is giving me fits. I hope it clears up before 4am Friday...
