Thanks, Cudgee. It is just a do-over, or maybe a mulligan, from the last time I was in for treatment. I had a spot on my jaw that he sprayed down with nitrogen but for whatever reason, it didn't ever come off. Just part of being old.

Sounds like everyone is going to be active today. Later this morning Cheryl and I have our first meeting with the contractor that will be building our house. We also need to find out about drilling a well. It's going to get busy around here until we get the house built and moved in, but I see that as a good thing. Everyone have a great day and be a blessing to someone.... :D
David, keep us all up to date with your building activities, i don't like speaking for other people, but i am sure all the regulars of the Diner would be interested. ::nod:: ::tu::

Top of the morning to you all!!
Met with the contractor yesterday and gave him a rough drawing and the ideas we are looking for in our new house. It will take him a few weeks to get some working plans and estimates done, but we still need to get this house ready for the market. This is the part I hate of packing up, doing little repairs and moving our stuff out.

I may have to make a run to town today, but otherwise I've got some work to do here at the house. Everyone have a safe and wonderful day and be a blessing to someone.... :D

Morning , beautiful day here at present, but humidity is climbing . Don’t have to go help at bldg. site till Monday as they are sheathing the Roof and Don’t need me up there . So going to finish up wiring pump for our bird bath water feature. Got the Brick work done other than sealing them before winter . Then need to fix Blown hose on Skidsteer so can get this pile of topsoil spread in back yard and get some seed down. When it gets too hot will run up and get new battery for the motorcycle and Change oil and filters and get ready to Ride to Sturgiss and Wyoming for a Couple weeks .
David in Texas, sounds like you’re well on your way to getting ready to build. Hope lumber and material prices keep dropping for you. A couple months ago prices were crazy .
Cudgee, Thanks for the pic and info regarding Wattles. ::tu:: ::tu::
Have a good one out there ,stay cool,or warm if in Australia, and enjoy your day.

Morning folks, 🌡unbearably hot heat index in the 100's this afternoon.
Critters are fed but they don't seem interested. Even ole Blackie and ole yeller are laying low. The gobblers ain't showed either.
Got about half the mowing done yestiddy, don't know if I'll finish today or not, it's awfully hot.
Looks mighty nice Rip👍.
Thinking about another cuppa joe and some serious pondering on the grass situation.
Yawl have a good'un and be safe out there. ::handshake::

Morning David, agree with you ,the Coffee is tasting very good.
Morning to the rest of you,and a beautiful day brewing here, hope you woke to a decent day.
Today is busy with a bunch of running around ,end of month type stuff. And need to go check on Mom and see what she needs done besides grocery run . Then get back here and get new battery in motorcycle and service that and get it ready for a couple thousand mile Road trip . Then maybe a Ice Cream run or something of that nature to finish off the day .
You all have yourselves a good day and stay out of trouble.

:) Morning to all AAPK’ers, the Olympians of Pocket Knives ::nod:: We could use some rain in these parts but none to be found. I read where UAE sends electrostatic charged drones into the clouds to trigger rain storms that they can turn on and off. Why isn’t the US thinking about that for forest fires or drought-prone areas, seems like a low risk activity with high yield potential. Oh sorry, I forgot, I’m just a retiree with no dog in the hunt any longer …. WRONG ::tu:: Let the rain come down

Mornin' folks here in the Diner. Another fun day here in Central Texas. Scott, sorry about the loss of your wife's uncle.
Went in yesterday and got a big dose of nitrogen on a stubborn spot on my jaw. Doc says not to worry, it'll fall off.
Still hot and dry here with a few small, scattered thunderstorms. Without a tropical storm off the Gulf, we will likely not have a general rain until dove season in September.
Hope your day is a good one.

Good Mornin', Folks.
Watering detail this morning, had coffee earlier and we are trying to keep the plants in the yard happy. I'm going back out and harvest a bunch of Banana Peppers and get in the pickled pepper mode later today. We just don't do much outside after dinner (noon meal) any more.
Y'all have a wonderful Friday!

I agree the coffee is very good this morning. I started packing my knives that are in display cases last evening, do you know how long it's going to take me to properly pack my whole knife collection? ::dang:: At my last inventory count I have 870 folding and fixed blade knives. Cheryl keeps asking where am I going to put all of them in the new house because it's going to be smaller. That's why I buying the second barn (Man Cave). I better get started again, everyone have a great Friday and be a blessing to someone.... :D

Got a break from heat yesterday and today but came with the smoke from the Canadian wildfires. Traveled 100 miles into south central MN (Mankato) to an outdoor concert Late afternoon the visibility was only 1/2 mile at times. Thankfully wasn’t as bad by concert time.
Still hanging around today

Work at the shop today. Will be a long day after a short night. Need plenty coffee and Mountain Dew for later.

Afternoon Y'all

Having a cup after a brief nap post-work. Gonna be a short weekend as I have OT Sunday night.
Gonna be a lot of that in the foreseeable future ...

We have lost two good men at work this week. Kevin A. passed Sunday (don't know details) while on leave for shoulder surgery.
And Bob C. passed in his sleep last night. I don't know details there, either, but he'd been sick awhile.
Two good men that will be hard to replace . . . .

Intend to stay in and outta the heat. Yawl be safe

Mornin' Cudgee and mornin' to the rest of the patrons of the FCD. It is a warm 76º here this morning and with 84% humidity. I spect it'll be near 100º this afternoon. We have the Houston branch of the family here last night and today. My daughter and her two children,, although one already has a master's degree and will soon be headed off to Seattle to join Microsoft and the other is in the local university studying chemical engineering. 8)
Hope your day is a dandy.
