Thunder, lightning and rain came overnight and filled the ditch.
Got a surprisingly good mug of last pot molested coffee.

Yesterday's haircut mission was completed successfully.

Today's mission is to prep for a meeting tomorrow with our Finance & Accounting department to talk about our current "IT Roadmap". This is all the things we think we are going to do over the next 2 years, most of which we won't actually do because new things will suddenly come up that everyone says we have to do *right now*. I just need to hang-on until I can retire...

That particular goal is a worthy motivator.

I went into the kitchen and the light is on on the coffeemaker but the pot is empty.
What a revolting development. Par for Monday morning I guess.

Good morning guys. Phil, tell Miss Joy happy belated Birthday wishes from Jane and I. Scott, did any of your kids show up yesterday or did you carve spoons alone. Jane's sister and her hushabd came yesterday for a final follow-up Dr.s appt, today. Jason is suppose to be starting his journey home tomorrow but they are having trouble lining up flights so he might be on his own for part of the trip. If he can get within a day's drive I'll go get him. I'm finishing a job today and checking out the next one. Have a great week and be safe.___Dave

Good Mornin', Guys.
Thank you Dave, I'll tell her when she wakes up! Haven't been out to check the rain gauge yet, it rained off and on yesterday afternoon till up in the night, under a tornado watch most of the afternoon. The news said there were several waterspouts that came on shore.
Y'all have a wonderful Monday!

David one of the best parts about AAPK is getting to meet so many nice people. I'm glad you guys were able to get together. ::tu::

It's a rainy morning here on Stingy Creek. I have not made any plans so I won't have to cancel them. I think I'm coming down with some rare form of sleeping sickness. I took a four hour nap yesterday afternoon, got up for an hour or so and laid back down for another 12 hours or so. I'm worn out from all that resting this morning. (This may be the result of weaning myself off the prednisone I"ve been taking for the last five weeks or so.) I sure appreciated not having to get up and head to work this morning. Ahhhhh !

Monday had a curse on it! The floor machine ran low on battery power halfway through the store.
The buffer has a screw on center thing that keeps pads on. It came off three times and the buffer threw the pad one of those times. Then was humming right along and the buffer up and died like it was out of propane. This with about 1/3 of the store to go.

She's going to try and have the floor machine and buffer mechanic come early tomorrow so I can talk to him.

The tank I have on it right now tends to freeze up the regulator. Maybe that's why it died.
But before today all it did was miss a beat every now and then.

It has NEVER thrown the center thing prior to today. You tell me this ain't a curse.

Please, please, please, don't make it a habit. I'm a living testimony that sitting on your keister after retirement is a baaaad idea. Stay active. Just a suggestion.

Mornin' guys. It is 58º here this morning and headed for near 90º I suspect. I'm off to Men' Devotional Breakfast this morning so I can't lollygag for long.
Hope you all have a knife day. ::tu::

Morning gents, woke up to a nice rainy, cool day. Gotta drive to Wilmington so I might as well get to it. OH

Good Mornin', Fellers.
Had a good day yesterday just messing around. Like Ray just said, he can't be lollygagging, that's what we did for Miss Joy's birthday. :) We went to Marianna for a mid afternoon grilled shrimp dinner. The weather was great after the mess came through Sunday that dumped 1.5" on us.
Coffee's made so let's begin another round of lollygagging!
Y'all have a blessed day.

Good morning. Since you guys brought it up, I'm lousy at doing nothing. I can't do it. My legs start wiggling, then I start shaking, and then I get up and go somewhere. They give kids pills for that now. I couldn't retire. It almost drove me nuts. I took a few days off to help Jane this winter and I slept in most mornings to 6;30. I rebuilt 10 pendulum clocks, went through all my knives, put up shelves and organized about a thousand old VHS tapes and DVD's, and even did my taxes early and still went nuts. The next day I got even more done. (OK I made that part up.)On another note, my son is coming home tomorrow and we are leaving early to pick him up. My daughter-in-law is so excited she may have another heart attack. I got a cigar box opener yesterday that I won off eBay from one of our own AAPK guys and put a picture of it along with my collection of them on another thread. I haven't purchased anything off eBay for several years but this was nice and went for a very good price and I was thrilled to get it. I'm off to work(retirement is rough you know). Have a great day. ____Dave
