Good Mornin', Fellers.
The sky was red earlier and the temperature was 51, so hoping it will rain sometime soon.
Lots to do this week, nothing big but too busy for retired folks.
Y'all have a great Monday!

For some reason I just don't want to wake up this morning. It almost feels like I've been drugged. Hopefully coffee is the antidote.

Coffee is only a temporary stop-gap. You're suffering from "I'm ready to retire, don't want to wait and just don't give a shirt anymore" syndrome. Stick with it. This too shall pass.

Mornin' Monte and mornin' to the rest of the fellers. I woke up early this morning so Monte and I will get the place up and running. Monte had to get on to work so I'll get the lights on and fire up the grill.
Hope you all have a good day today. ::tu::

Good Mornin', Men.
Looks like we may have a pretty day shaping up. The temperature stayed at 66 most of the night and around 4am it started to drop, I guess that means the little rain we had is over and it is now cooling off, back down to 53 as it gets light. Need to go check the rain gauge.
Got to start thinking about processing Bambi in a day or so.

Good morning. Not much on the agenda today. I had a call yesterday to build a set of stairs that I might check out but otherwise work is slow. Maybe I'll work some on my place or play with my knives some. Scott, how's the condo search going? If you can't find one, there's some land down the road from me going on auction. I could build you a place. Long drive to your estate sales though. Have a great Tuesday. ___Dave

Good Morning Men - more packing and organizing today, hard to tell just far along we are but the beat goes on and the rolls of packing tape just keep emptying. We are trying to stay positive about everything but when there are so many moving parts it can be overwhelming at times. I genuinely hope this is my last move before I'm called home - the whole process is exhausting. I hope everyone has a blessed day!

Morning gents. Working local today, attending a mid-day memorial service for the wife of one of my former shooting buddies (he hung it up several years ago). Got another service to attend on Saturday - seems that my old friends are falling away. OH
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

Good Mornin', Men.
Bruce, it seems that the older we get the more funerals we have to attend, sorry for your friend's loss.
Got to take the ferocious mini Dashund to the vet for his annual checkup. That's usually interesting as the vet has a big office cat that roams around. They usually lock the cat up when we bring this one to the office.
Our temperature is back in the high 30s this morning, ready for spring and summer!
Y'all have a blessed day!

Good morning. Amen to the funerals. That seems to have become my social life. I have another classmate's funeral this Saturday. I've known him nearly all my life but we were never close friends. I'll probably still attend a gun show in the morning and leave early enough to attend the funeral. Not much on the agenda for today. I could probably get used to this retirement thing except I haven't stopped buying a few knives each month and that pretty much will have to cease if retirement takes hold. I've been driving Jane to her re-hab and she likes that so that is where I'm off to today. have a great Wednesday. ___Dave

Oh I hear ya bro......In March we'll move again and it'll be like my 29th time since I arrived in FL in 1982. Unfortunately it won't be our last move.

Most certainly death is a part of life, it is the life after death that we are in need to prepare for. 3rd cup of coffee and nothing planned but church tonight. Hopefully a knife makes it in the mail today. If so I will post pictures.
