Love the picture!!knifegnome wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 11:15 pm My wife came up with the name from a picture I drew in college.I took an art class and the project was to take an ordinary everyday item and draw a picture of it in an unusual or extraordinary setting.I had only been collecting knives for a year and what better item to draw but a pocketknife.Notice the Gnome Cut Co tang stamp.

Straw hats are what I started wearing to keep me shaded. I have since graduated to felt or palm.

Sweet little side-arm, too.

Sunbody Hats
https://www.sunbody.com/
I buy them flat brimmed and uncreased so I can crease them to the Fedora shape I prefer. Usually buy 3-4 at a time and replace themas they wear out. The two oldest stay at the back door. The oldest is my yard hat, next is my “meeting customers” hat and at the front door is the one with the hatband. I have a horsehair hatband that has graced maybe 10-12 hats.
And, I introduced that revolver in the thread as you requested.

Re: YOUR USER NAME
Kevin I like both the hat and the S&W.
Re: YOUR USER NAME
Thank you. In winter, I wear a felt hat of the same general size and shape. I usually start with a western hat,Stetson, Resistol, or similar a get the steamer going. It takes a while but they come out nice.

I've had a Bluegrass band called Windy Ridge since 1972. When I got my e-mail account, Windy Ridge was taken so I opted for Ridgegrass. WR is based in Maryland. There's another one somewhere else. I see them on You Tube but I don't know them at all or when they started. Windy Ridge was the road our first fiddle player, Jude Restivo, (a.k.a. Judd Hawkins) lived on. J.O'.

It's a dadgummed shame ole T.J. ain't still suckin' air. Tom was a guitar plucker in a Bluegrass band down in the Covington KY area. Unfortunately we lost him to dementia a few years back. He was a great person and a heck of a guitar picker. You two would have gotten on just fine.Ridgegrass wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 7:50 pm I've had a Bluegrass band called Windy Ridge since 1972. Thankgod4rkids goes back 19 or 20 years when I needed a username for something. My wife thought it up and I've used it ever since. We had 4 kids at the time ended up with 5 so my wife uses Luvr5kids.
