Hi from KY
Morning everybody. I am Tom Chitwood from Kentucky. Pine Knot, (yes you read that right), KY. I had a YT channel (under my name) and made/ sold fixed blade knives all over the world. A motorcycle crash/ traumatic brain injury put an end to that. Although I have lost enough motor skills and concentration to make knives professionally, I have a need to use my hands and keep them busy. I have started fixing old pocket knives for myself, family, and friends. It just takes me a while, but I have a knife shop not being used so...............
I am learning and having a rough time starting out.
Professionally I am an engineer for a company that makes military tents and such.
Well, Hello everybody. Hope I don't drive you guys crazy with questions.

Hi Tom. Welcome to AAPK. Glad you've joined us. I'd love to see some of your work if you have any pictures to show us. I used to work in your area sometimes and have also spent more than a few nights camping down on Rock Creek.

Thanks everybody for the welcome. Wow, some folks are even familiar with my home. Amazing.
I'll get some pictures up of my fixed blades (this weekend). They are really pretty, but meant to be used.

Ah, the Galt House! Stayed there a lot for the state FFA convention in high school. I can still hear the calliope from the Belle of Louisville as it passed by on the river MULTIPLE times a day.Steve Warden wrote:My tie to Kentucky?
