1st time posting

Post by Nev52 »

This is my first post. I joined a couple years ago. I have purchased knives from the AAPK members and sent knives to them for repairs. I have to say it is a nice group of people here on this site. I have carried a Schrade LB-7 on my side since I was 18 working on vehicles on in the woods hunting. Over the years I have purchased many a knife for work or hunting. Just the other day I was looking in my knife box I have over 60 knives. I just wanted to say hi and tell members about myself.

I will try to post some pictures. But all my knives are used. None are collectors pieces just every day carry or work.

Than you. My favorite is a Schrade LB-7 my late sister gave me in 1978. Through many years of use and abuse it needed a tune up. I sent it to Muskrat Man to do some repair work.

Welcome to AAPK. Glad to have you active and thank you for the pictures. I think I speak for most when I say we just love to look at knives.

Nev52 the knice thing about old hard working knives is that they usually belong to old hard working people. Of knives and people those are my favorite kind. You certainly take good care of them. Hope to see others and Welcome. ::tu:: ::tu::

Thank you. Now that I broke the ice on posting I will have to pull out some more knives to show. I mostly like older knives.

Nev52,
::welcome:: to AAPK! You and I for some reason followed the same path. I joined AAPK and was almost 2 years before posting, I did a lot of reading and "ogling" in the shadows. You have some great knives!

Welcome! I love to see the working knives. The mark of a sensible man (so far... ). Those Schrades are hard to beat, especially (for me) the folding hunter.

Welcome! I too, love old working knives, that's what I accumulate. I've often said that two of the saddest things out there are old factory new condition firearms and pocket knives, no stories to tell.

Darn, those are some nice knives. Nothing to apologize for in that group. Collectors can get a little anal so it's nice to hear from someone who thinks of their knives as working tools only, yet keeps them in great shape (as we can see in your photos). Welcome and keep posting.
