Hello from Montana!
Hello everyone! I just found the site and I "collect" Case knives. I put that in quotations because I carry and use all of them. Although I have been thinking about focusing on expanding my Trapper collection.
I live in Western Montana and spend all of the time that I can with my family in the outdoors. We enjoy hunting and fishing so of course that naturally allows a lot of knife use. Just last weekend I fileted 50 yellow perch with my main carry Trapper since my buddy was using my filet knife. Sure was fun and now will be some good eating.
Tomorrow will be my 30th birthday and I'm hoping I'll have some new knives from my wife to add to my collection.
I hope to add to all of the discussion and share some good pictures! The included picture is of my favorite Trapper I carry everywhere except work.

Welcome to AAPK! Nice looking Trapper. What's the significance of the diamond-shaped inlay?

Welcome here, HatchetKnot. Nice picture of a nice knife. I'm curios about the diamond too.
Are you going to re-purpose that T&G Cedar?

Re: Hello from Montana!
My Godfather gave the knife to me. His brand was a "Diamond J" and his company name is Diamond J Enterprises so he often put a diamond and our first initial on some of the things he gave my siblings and me. I don't know if he inlayed this knife or had it done by someone else. He has put alot of inlays in rifle stocks so it would not surprise me if he inlayed this knife himself.Mumbleypeg wrote:Welcome to AAPK! Nice looking Trapper. It has been repurposed as the frame around this hog mount that hangs in the lobby of the campground my parents own in Choteau, MT.FRJ wrote:Welcome here, HatchetKnot. Nice picture of a nice knife. I'm curios about the diamond too.

Howdy, HatchetKnot! to AAPK. I started out with Case and somewhere along the line I got corrupted and there are all sorts of knives in my accumulation. You'll enjoy the folks on this forum.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it. I have tons of different knives, mainly Buck knives aside from the Case. I just don't intentionally collect the others. I've got all the others stashed in vehicles, tackle boxes, etc.treefarmer wrote:Howdy, HatchetKnot! to AAPK.
