Hello from Montana
Hello,
Found AAPK while looking for information on repairing what I think is a Schrade 8OT. It was an impulse buy from an auction site that had file work and stag sides. Looking at pictures of that knife and then having it in hand reminded me how much I really enjoyed the traditional knives. I wish that it had happened before buying several tactical style folders that I been selling off.
Only downside to this board for me, I found GEC knives.

Welcome here, Shorthairbirddog.
There's information of all kinds here concerning knives. There are some knife mechanics here who will probably be along to help you.
If you can show some good clear pictures of your knife that would be a big help.
I lived near Noxon on the Bull River many years ago. Sanders County.

Welcome to AAPK BirdDog, you found the right place. There are qualified knife mechanics here that I'm sure can help you. Everyone here loves pics. If you go to the forum's first page and look in the tips and tricks thread it will show how to post pics. Did you fish that one out of the bay? If so I think I was watching that one.

Shorthairbirddog, Howdy!
That's an interestin' username. Montana's a long way from the Florida Panhandle, but I got a couple of knives from an AAPK member from Superior Montana some weeks ago.
Hope you enjoy the forum.

Re: Hello from Montana
Thanks for the warm welcome.
FRJ, the closest I've been to Noxon would be Thompson Falls. Lived in Great Falls for many years, and now in the Billings area for about 11 years.
Montemojo, I did get it from the bay. Looking at knives while waiting for my modern folders to sell, stumbled on it and thought,"that sure is purty".
I will make sure and look through knife repair and get some more information. Probly post pictures there of the knife.
