Hello From The Alabama Gulf Coast!
Hello From The Alabama Gulf Coast!
I introduced myself yesterday in the Böker forum and found this thread today. My name is Yehuda, it's a religious name from the Bible. I'm a Navy shipbuilder working on the LCS project in Mobile Alabama, a Master Mason and secretary of my Lodge, I lead the music program at my house of worship, married (sometimes happily ) just a regular guy involved in the community. I collect 19th century Alabama obsolete paper money and railroad stock certificates, WWI and WWII era rifles, coins and most recently, pocket knives. I'm a fan of Böker particularly but any well made 'turn of the century' German folding knife catches my attention. My expectations from this forum are to learn about pocket knives; properly identifying, caring for and restoring them as well as making new friends. So, I'm looking forward to growing my knowledge and skill with this community. I've read a lot of posts from this board and a lot of you guys have an impressive amount of information to share. Glad to be here!

Yehuda welcome aboard. Looking forward to your participation. If you can include some photos from time to time that would be great.

You know this area well then. I live in Baldwin County and work in Mobile. We go to Mississippi every so often to put quarters in the slots and see a show.jlw257 wrote:Hello Yehuda welcome, I live across the state line in Ms. ( off Hwy 98 )

How cool. We're neighbors as well! Yes, Yehuda is Hebrew and is pronounced Judah in English. Clever of you to spot that!treefarmer wrote: from The Florida Panhandle sometimes known as LA (lower Alabama). Is Yehuda the same as Judah?
