G,day. I have just become a new member of your forum. I am in Australia, retired and have a long term love of pocket knives. Since i have retired i have more time to put into my passion. I have a collection of quiet a few knives, which i use and find very theraputic sharpening. There is something about sharpening something you use as a tool and when you get the required result getting a great deal of satisfaction from your skill and work. If there is anything any of you members want to know about Australia do not hesitate to ask me and if i can help only too happy to.Have a good day.

Well welcome Cudgee. Several members on here hang from the underside of this old globe. I bet you find things pleasant and educational here. Show us some pic's of what you got.

Welcome cudgee. We are always pleased to have another Australian with us. They are always good mates. We would definitely enjoy any photos you may have. In addition to knives, we have threads here for other photos: e.g. outdoors, birds, guns, etc.

Welcome aboard from Kentucky! Always good to have another Aussie in our ranks.
I completely identify with what you said about sharpening being therapeutic, I love sharpening my knives as well.

Thanks doglegg. That is my first problem. I'm an absolute novice with computers and related technology. Putting up photos is well beyond my capabilities. I am going to have to learn how so i can be a contributing member and show my collection.Thank you for your welcome.doglegg wrote:Well welcome Cudgee. Thanks Treefarmer. I can remember when you had to go to the phone exchange/post office to book a trunk call to make a long distance phone call. I already feel at home here, and also most welcomed. Thanks Mate.treefarmer wrote: to AAPK from the Florida Panhandle! Lots of us old fellers are in the same boat when it comes to computer skills, you'll be right at home. That my friend i cannot help you with. The goldfields of Australia are littered with broken dreams, hearts and men, as i'm sure they are in the USA. Stay safe mate.stagman wrote:Welcome !!! Great site to speak about your knife passions....
