knives on display cards

Post by Desktop »

I saw some earlier posts with pictures of knives on reproduction cards. I think it's one of the nicest ways to display knives, and would like to see members post more pictures of knives/folders on cards (reproduction or original). I'm still working on filling my Imperial Crossbar knife display. Here are some other display cards I have - some are reproduction cards and others I made myself. :D

1, 2, and 6. Number 2 will soon be replaced by a more authentic looking Junior Jack-Master Crossbar card.

Very nice James - I love that card myself it displays so nicely!
I see you have some nice toothpicks on that one. The leftmost two are my toothpick favorites - unfortunately they aren't easy to come by! Thanks for sharing!

Well if you have not lost your mind yet. I want to refresh it a bit.

Awesome display justold52!

I assume the card itself is made of cardboard - so things have to be done gently. I would try to pick up some of that "glue like dublem stickem" with your fingers and then try to 'dab' it on other spots where you have more of the same. If you're lucky the "glue like dublem stickem" you hold in your fingers might "lift up" the "glue" on these spots. I would try this first - not sure if I would recommend using any solvent or similar if the card is made of cardboard. I hope you can clean it up - wish you good luck!

Those display cards really make for a wonderful display. There is something about the older advertisements that really appeals to me. Thanks for starting this thread Desktop.

Hey guys, I am bringing this long lost thread up because I REALLY want one of the display cards like Desktops 3rd one down and like what James (Jfarmer) has. I know originals are out of the question but I would love to have an accurate reproduction. I just don't know where to look. ::shrug:: I know this should be in want ads, but I wanted people to see the pic's I am talking about and I wasn't sure how to do that. Mods, if you need to move this, I certainly understand. I know Johnny (jonet 143) is lookin down and sayin........ SMOKE! You know better than to post this in General! Take it to Want ads! lol!
