Thanks. Your 80 looks to have very nice full blades.

Keith, WOW!!! Your Remington whittler is off the charts nice. Beautiful bone and very crisp, clear etch. Outstanding! ::tu:: ::tu::

The knife had factory edges on it when I got it. Just had been stored incorrectly, as the blades had minor rust spots all over. I have since sharpened it. The rust on it now is from being carried. The knife had never been used or carried best i could tell. I have a weakness for the 80 pattern.

If your going to have a weakness that's a pretty good one to be weak with. I like it.

Nice to see this thread brought back to life after being dormant for six years. Many fine knives posted here. I will add this Schrade made Craftsman 9488. One of my favorite patterns!

Espn - Thanks. That Remington of yours is beautiful: I can see why you do not carry it! I particularly like the shield on it, I have one older knife with that shield but it seems to be kind of unusual.

I agree that Electric is a cool knife, Greg. I always like the little thumbnail cutouts. Extremely good condition for the age!

Here is a Schrade 836, or more correctly, the remains of one, with the shield that I like. I keep looking for a decent specimen, but they are hard to find. Folks must have used these knives up.

A few Whittlers to bring this thread up to daylight. Just read thru these 8 pages or so, some very nice pieces here .
The old Electric has seen some abuse and missing a piece or 2 . The Duane cut co dates 1910 to about 1920 . The old swell centers are Camillus pre 72 period which is before WW2 IIRC ! The bone covered is an early 4 line ,maybe 1920 s? One of the favorites in all of the knives around here . And the Pearl covered Sta - Sharp . It’s an oddity in that it has the Sta Sharp on the mark side and The Stainless Cut Co. on the pile side . Those 2 stamps I have never seen together before this knife . Both are Camillus stamps but this is a first here for me !
Anyone else “ got Whittlers “ to show off ?

Nice way to revive a thread, JP. There is some beautiful jigged bone and patinated carbon steel in your photos!
