I'm starting to see the light as far as Case knives go. Here is a large 1988 (edit 98 ) jack knife and a medium 1979 jack knife that I bought on ebay recently. I'm quite pleased with my purchases. The 79 seems an interesting combination of brown and greyish blue bone... don't know if there is a specific term for that. I like the chestnut bone on the 98 too.
s-k
p.s. if anyone has any pics of other jack knives, especially older ones, I would like to see them Thanks.

Jacks
Hey SK;
They are what they are. Red bone I think is a barehead 02, the black is a well loved 14.

Guys, I like looking at other collectors knife pics, very intresting, very informative, some collect patterns, some collect by brand, some collect by bone color and others like me just accumulate a few junk knives as time goes bye, heres another junker little jack knife, he's a Case XX era 24 1/2
