Pretty excited to see this classic old pattern being introduced with the spear and pen blades… I’m in. ::tu::

Here’s an old Cattaraugus 21229 in same pattern but with nail nick spear and rat-tail bolster.

I am pretty excited too about another GEC knife that I won't be able to own, :x because they are IMPOSSIBLE to buy on-line W/O paying OVER the MSRP :x ...IF you can find one in stock... which you can't! :x ::td::

Thanks GEC... ::handshake:: maybe I can down-load a photo of one of one or your knives. That is about as close as I may get ::disgust::

That is very nice Catt you have there. Nice curve on that pattern and sweet all around.

It's not impossible to get a GEC at MFSR. There are a couple dealers out there that havent jacked up there their prices. But you must be fast and determined to score one.

I have been on a dealer's site and found one for sale in stock and I put the GEC knife in the cart, fumbled around to get out my credit card for the #... and by the time I got the info in... ::paranoid:: maybe I refreshed the page, ::shrug:: however it happened.. POOF! Sold out! :x No GEC for me... :x ::disgust:: Every time I find one... sold out in minutes! ::skeptic::

Thats why you gotta be fast and determined or have a dealer that will work with you. I dont have to do the lorry scramble anymore as I have a dealer who I have worked with for a long time. He gets me the ones I want. I also have a friend with a fast computer and fast fingers and understands how to work the system who sometimes get me a GEC here and there. The days of GEC's sitting on dealers shelves for some time are long gone. Every thing changed at covid. Like everything else there are ways to overcome the obstacles you just got to figure it out. I wished things were different but at the moment this is the reality we have to deal with. Happy hunting!

Thanks ::handshake:: I guess the only silver lining in this cloud of GEC despair is that with demand like this, GEC should be in 'biddness for a long, long time! ::hmm::
