Too funny Dennis - I was going to mention the notion of a "daily uniform" but I didn't want to offend anyone - we certainly are creatures of habit aren't we?

It was easy for me I don’t own anything but blue pocket tees. I bought a green tee shirt once and my wife didn’t recognize me!
I wear a different welders hat everyday. I picked my Orange one for the show because it is my brightest one. I almost picked my pink flowery Hawaiian one but didn’t want to make anyone nervous.

Had a great time at the show this morning. It was great to catch up with everyone. I'll post some goodies later.
Re: NCCA knife show Sept 19
Well, it certainly was great to get to a knife show. But especially to catch up with the guys that were there.
I did get some time to spend (too much) some money. Picked up a few decent ones...
I've been looking for one of these for a bit. Probably cutlered by Eric!
2 804 patterns...one in Bone
2 very clean Schrade Cut Co's
This cool Hoffritz 3-blade...the forward-facing placement/nail nick on that sheep/coping blade was unusual.
I picked this up in a lot from Steve...an un-hafted 897
I picked up some others, but these were the nicer highlights. I chewed Eric's ear off for awhile talking shop, and picked up a small project on a Waterbury knife.

Wow you got a bunch of great looking knives! Two 804 bones!. And the handles on that Hoffritz !!!
Re: NCCA knife show Sept 19
Some nice scores there, sounds like and looks like you had a great time, i'm sure you learnt something useful as well.
Re: NCCA knife show Sept 19
It was a fun day. Count me and Liam as regulars at the shows from now on. I bought us both memberships.

Great show of knives, Glenn.
Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet eveled and Liam.
I really enjoyed the show and it was fun to see the guys from the forum. It was great to meet Eric (ea42),
a standup guy.
Here's the knives I picked up.
A Remington sleeveboard. A packer.
A Robeson wannabe by Queen.
A very flirtatious Holley.
A Remington jack with short blade. A new packer.
A Robeson 4 blade senator
A Holley of the long tooth.
A sweet Waterville.

Was truly great to see all my NCCA buddies again! Ed, great meeting you, glad you made it and joined the club with a life membership! Now you can enter all NCCA shows during set up. Looks like a bunch of you got some fine antique cutlery! I only got one knife and surprised myself since I don't really go for puukkos. But this one has a walrus ivory handle and sheath and I do fancy ivory.
Re: NCCA knife show Sept 19
If you are just going to buy one then you made a great choice Gunsil. What a beautiful knife and sheath!!!! Love that ivory, doesn't mater who's mouth it came from.
Re: NCCA knife show Sept 19
That’s got to be the nicest Puukko I’ve ever seen. The sheath is really special.
Nice pick up. I didn’t end up buying anything. (Spent my money on the memberships.). Lol. Liam bought some skull beads. He was in little boy overload. Free donuts and lots of knives!

Re: NCCA knife show Sept 19
Don't worry Ed, getting in early will pay off sooner or later! Glad to hear Liam had an enjoyable time! Not enough young people into old knives, great to see youth exposed to our world.
