Thanks Ken, I only read the first page of posts, but I will read the whole thread when I get time. Very interesting history lesson.

I saw this one on EBay this week, the seller MVP knives, or Smokey Mountain Knife Works, called it Venetian Jigged

Can you tell us a little more about the Case Rodgers bone and Case Indian Trail knives?

Ken, the pictures are two sides of the same knife. Both are Rogers bone but one side has worm grooves in its covers, which I assume to be “Indian Trail” jigging. The knife is a Case 6001 tri-fold pattern. Stamp on one side of the blade is CASE BRADFORD. The other side is stamped CASE’S TESTED XX. The pattern is shown in Sargent’s 7th Edition with both Rogers bone and greenbone, in the Bradford and Tested eras respectively. Some believe the pattern was made for Case by Union Cutlery which has patents on the design and made similar knives having the KA-Bar stamp. ::shrug:: FYI here’s another thread about the pattern https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... =2&t=28810

Hope this answers your question. Sorry for derailing the thread.

Ken
